The implementation of the Priips Kid regime is causing some problems to the industry and some product providers have been forced to scrap some of their products, such as US-domiciled exchange-traded funds (ETFs) - for failing to meet the new Priips rules, or stop the sales of products that have not yet produced key information documents, but it is early days and there is no evidence that the rules are flawed, according to panellists during the Regulatory Roundtable panel at the 15th Annual Europe Structured Products & Derivatives conference at the etc.venues, County Hall, in London.
