Belgian insurance trade body has helped with Kid guidance, LWWK
The implementation of the packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (Priips) regulation on January 1, 2018, has not been without teething problems. Key information documents (Kid) that are not available in the local language, stress scenarios that do not add up, and incomprehensible or illogical calculations that could mislead investors, are some of the issues that arose during the first weeks of the year. SRP caught up with Tom Van Dyck (pictured), partner at Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick (LWWK) in Brussels, who gave his view on how the insurance sector in Belgium fared.
