BNP Paribas has reshuffled its global markets division, with Nicolas Marque (pictured) relocating to Paris, from where he will continue to lead equity derivatives globally in addition to managing equity flow. The changes at the bank are across all activities and roles reporting to Olivier Osty, executive head of global markets, who, in turn, reports to Yann Gérardin, head of BNP Paribas corporate and investment banking.

Raphael Masgnaux will run the G10 rates and prime services and financing globally. Masgnaux was previously joint head alongside Arne Groes, who has been appointed global head of primary and credit markets. Groes was previously co-head of G10 rates for prime services and financing. Kieron Smith has been appointed deputy head of prime services and financing, moving from global head of derivatives execution and clearing, while Fred Zorzi, the former global head of bond & loan syndicate, has taken the role of global head of primary markets.

Adrian Boehler and Francisco Oliveira will jointly lead the foreign exchange, local markets and commodity derivatives business line. Boehler will focus primarily on G10 FX and commodity derivatives, and Oliveira will relocate from New York to London, where he was previously head of global markets for Latin America.

Benjamin Jacquard, previously co-head of primary and credit markets with Martin Egan, 'will be pursuing other opportunities outside the group'. Egan has been appointed vice-chairman, global markets client board. In this new role, he will 'promote global markets with global strategic clients across the corporate, official institution, and bank and insurance spectrum'. He will also represent global markets in senior industry forums, and report to Olivier Osty

Regionally, Pascal Fischer has been appointed head of global markets for Asia Pacific and will relocate to Hong Kong reporting to Eric Raynaud, chief executive officer for BNP Paribas in Asia-Pacific and Osty; while John Gallo and Hubert de Lambilly have been appointed head of sales, and head of trading, for global markets Americas, respectively. Both will report to Bob Hawley, head of global markets, and deputy head of the corporate and investment bank for the Americas. De Lambilly was previously global co-head of FX, local markets and commodity derivatives, in London.

The bank has also appointed Cyril Cottu head of digital and ecommerce for global markets sales. Previously, Cottu was co-head of electronic market making and commerce, and his appointment follows that of Camille Bonnin as global head of ebusiness for equity derivatives at the end of 2017. Based in Paris, Bonnin reports to Geoffrey Rodrigue, global head of equity derivatives business transformation, and former global head of trading and electronic. Furthermore, Alexandre Benech formerly co-head of electronic market making and commerce has been appointed global head of electronic trading.

Other appointments in the division include Olivia Frieser as global head of research, replacing Amine Bel Hadj, who has been appointed global head of sustainability for global markets, and Staphanie Maarek in a newly-created position as chief conduct and control officer.
