The Canadian structured products market saw 311 products added in September; 46 fewer than August. The month was marked by the absence of Desjardins, which until now had products striking every even month of the year (118 products year to date).

A time series decomposition using data from 2018 until September 2019 shows that even when seasonality is removed, September is underperforming in terms of issuance.      One hundred and eleven products matured this month releasing C$1.2 billion (US$877m) back onto the market.
