There is no such thing as a simple insurance product because these products are legal contracts where you have to cover all the basic regulatory requirements, and fixed indexed annuities (FIA's) are no exception to that rule, said Bruce Ramge (pictured), director, Nebraska Department of Insurance, and executive board member of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), speaking at The Science of Compliance and Regulation panel discussion at SRP's inaugural Indexed Insurance Forum in Des Moines, Iowa, on September 14.
