The UK bank is the first distributor with an open architecture to offer US stocks via equity-linked investments (ELIs).

Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) is offering unlisted ELIs on US stocks issued by three investment banks in Hong Kong SAR as “the recent weak equity market is providing an excellent entry point for clients who are new to ELIs given the flexible nature of the product”.     Approximately US$10m notional amount of the flow products has been traded within the first month of the launch in the second week of May, according to a SCB spokesperson.  We are seeing impr
