Nicolas Miara-Godet, the former global head of cross asset solutions sales at Société Générale, has joined Kepler Capital markets (KCM) in Paris as head of investment solutions, a new business line dedicated to structured products.

Miara-Godet, who will also sit on KCM's executive board, will report to the firm's chief Laurent Quirin: "Our ambition is to become a key actor in the field of investment solutions. In our capacity as an independent financial intermediary, we benefit from an ideal positioning between the big Investment banks and all the types of clients who depend on us for advice: institutional investors, distribution networks and corporates," said Quirin.

Miara-Godet joins from Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking where he held a number of roles including global head of cross asset solutions sales and also global head of equity derivatives sales.

Kepler, which is active in equity research and brokerage, fixed income, derivatives, structured products and corporate finance, last week agreed a deal with UniCredit, whereby the firm will provide the Italian bank with research and distribution on equity capital markets transactions.
