Paris-based independent financial services group Oddo & Cie has hired two senior structured products executives to set up a cross-asset solutions division at Oddo Securities.
Philippe Keime and Jean-Jacques Legendre have been appointed heads of the cross-asset solutions division and charged with the development of a multi-asset solutions catalogue for Oddo Securities with a wide range of structured products to meet its clients' needs.
An Oddo spokesperson told SRP.com Oddo Securities' move to enter the structured products space fits with the firm's traditional coverage of the European markets which includes equity and bond trading, equity and credit research, financial analysis, private banking, and asset management with associated front- and back-office activities.
Keime started his career at Société Générale where he was a key contributor to the development of structured products for the group's investment bank, SG CIB. In 1996, he moved into asset management to create the alternative management division SGAM-AI. In 2002, he joined Morgan Stanley as managing director, and most recently he was director at KDK Asset Management, a management company based in London providing solutions to fund managers seeking to develop Ucits.
Jean-Jacques Legendre joins from Deutsche Bank where he was head of equity sales to institutional clients' in France. Before that he was the head of the group's equity derivative sales France division and he also spent ten years at BNP Paribas' CIB division, including a three-year stint as a VP in New York.
