Nasdaq OMX has launched STO Structured Products Units in Stockholm, a new segment for the listing and trading of structured products that are traded in units.
The new segment is aimed at complementing the existing segment, STO Structured Products, where trading is conducted in percentages of nominal amounts.
The segment will be available in Genium INET from 22 April, while instruments will start being listed from 29 April.
The segment is available for testing in Genium Consolidated Feed 4 (GCF4).
The announcement follows the publication of the company's monthly trade statistics for the Nordic and Baltic markets, which show that derivatives trading increased by 25.6% to a daily average of 669,493 contracts last month, compared with 533,026 contracts in March 2012.
Trading in exchange-traded funds decreased by 50.4% to a daily average of €43m, compared to €86.7m in March 2012.
Merrill Lynch was the most active member on Nasdaq OMX Nordic during the past month, followed by SEB.
