Marcus Slöör, managing director and region head, Nordics, at UBS Wealth Management in Zurich, has joined Credit Suisse as managing director and Malaysia market leader for the bank’s private banking business.
In his new role, Slöör will oversee a team of private bankers based in Singapore focusing on high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients including entrepreneurs, family offices, trusts and foundations. He will report to Claudio de Sanctis, managing director and market area head Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Slöör spent over 14 years at UBS in both investment banking in London as well as wealth management, covering all segments. Before being appointed region head, Nordics, in February 2012, Slöör was head of ultra-high-net-worth UK and Nordics for over a year, having been a client adviser, UHNW Switzerland at UBS Wealth Management for three years.
Slöör was also client adviser, UHNW Nordic Markets in Zurich for two years between 2005 and 2007. He joined UBS Investment Bank in London in 1999, where he spent five years.
