Structured products listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) increased their trading value by 82.6% last month compared with July 2013, and recorded a trading value of PLN41.2m (€9.8m).

The Polish exchange also reported that year-on-year trading of structured products increased by 112.2% and stood at PLN322.8m (€76.9m) in the period from January to July 2014.

In addition, the Polish exchange also reported that the trading value of structured certificates increased by 139.2% to PLN7.4m (€1.7m) in July 2014 compared with July 2013, while trades were up 30.8% to PLN40.8m (€9.7m) year on year between January and July 2014.

The warrants segment declined by 36.7% to PLN0.05m (€0.01m) in July 2014 with a further decline of 82.9% on year to year basis (only PLN0.2m / €0.06m). Trading of exchange-traded products (ETFs) was also down by 42.3% to PLN5.8 (€1.4m) during July 2014, registering a year-on-year decline of 49.1% to PLN47.1m (€11.2m).

The WSE also reported that July 20, 2014 was the last trading day of WIG20 futures contracts with a multiplier of PLN10. Only WIG20 futures contracts with a multiplier of PLN20 are trading as of July 23.
