Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has launched its first sustainable investment product aimed at corporate investors.
ANZ Sustainable Protected Responsible Investment over Term (Asprit) is a six-year, principal-protected investment offering income and growth linked to the performance of the Sustainable Leaders Australia Fund (Slaf) run by Sustainable Asset Management (Sam).Commenting on the launch ANZ’s head of middle markets, Angus Graham, said, “Asprit provides investors with an opportunity to benefit from the performance of companies considered sustainability leaders by not only managing the standard economic factors affecting their business, but also by integrating environmental and social factors into their business strategies.”
ANZ’s head of sustainability, Gavin Murray, said he hoped Asprit would be the first of many ANZ initiatives in the space and comes on the back of client demand for this type of product.
