Westpac is offering wealthy Australian investors capital protected access to a basket of five funds.
Guaranteed Portfolio Service 2 is a six-year fund that protects 100% capital. Growth is linked to an equally weighted basket comprising Challenger Wholesale Select, Australian Share Fund, Aberdeen Asian Opportunities Fund, DWS Global Equity Thematic Fund, UBS Property Securities Fund, and Macquarie International Infrastructure Securities Fund.The product uses a dynamic portfolio insurance-type technique to allocate funds between risky and fixed income assets in order to preserve capital.
The bank is offering a 100% borrowing facility. Minimum investment is A$500k ($435k).
