For the second year in a row, exchange-traded fund (ETF) issuance in the US has exceeded US$1 trillion, according to a new report from the Investment Company Institute (ICI).
Equity ETFs accounted for the largest share of net issuance during the week, totalling US$27.71 billion, up from US$15.55 billion the previous week.
