The insurer has filed for its third registered index-linked annuity (Rila) product as it seeks to get out of a sales slump.

Athene USA (Athene) is set to introduce Simplify 3.0, a Rila that offers accumulation potential with wider buffer rates options, according to the product’s filing to the SEC on Monday (24 November). The index accounts include four different options - the S&P 500, Russell 200, MSCI EAFE and Nasdaq 100. These price return indices have been on the shelf since the insurer entered the Rila space in mid-2019.   Athene’s new Rila series does not include the Shiller Barclays CAPE
