The US asset manager behind the world’s first autocallable ETF is making its European debut, registering a Dublin-domiciled fund as it awaits approval from the Irish central bank.

Calamos Investments (Calamos), a pioneer of structured income ETFs in the US, has filed the Waystone ETF Icav – Calamos Autocallable Income Ucits ETF. The submission came from  Waystone Fund Management (IE), the asset manager's European regulatory and operational partner on  20 January. If cleared, the fund will mark Calamos’ first Ucits ETF in Europe, adding to its existing lineup of 30 Ucits equity and convertible funds. The Icav format is popular for Ucits ETFs because
