The Canadian bank is moving to capture growth in the fast-expanding quantitative investment strategies (QIS) market, bolstering its New York team with talent from J.P. Morgan and Natixis.CIBC Capital Markets (CIBC) has made three appointments to strengthen its presence and capabilities in the US market.

Kimberly Gallant (pictured) has been named managing director, global head of quantitative investment strategies (QIS) based in New York. The QIS team is newly aligned by combining structuring and sales under one umbrella at CIBC, according to the bank. Gallant reports to Toronto-based Brad Sumarah, global head of institutional sales, financial solutions group who is also in charge of US distribution. Most recently she was managing director, co-head of institutional structuring & solutions
