Cboe Global Markets said the expansion of DJX options follows growing participation in short-dated index derivatives, which now account for over 50% of trading activity.

Cboe Global Markets has expanded its Dow Jones Industrial Average index options suite to include contracts with daily expirations.  As of 31 March, DJX options had open interest representing more than US$472m in notional value The addition, effective from May 18, allows DJX options to expire on every trading day, reflecting increased market activity in short-dated options strategies. Cboe noted that the DJX options are exclusively listed on its Cboe Options and Cboe C2 Options exchange
