Canada's exchange-traded fund (ETF) industry reached a new asset milestone in May as inflows continued at a record pace, showed the latest ETFGI report.

Assets invested in Canada's ETF industry reached a record US$719.7 billion at the end of May 2026, according to ETFGI's latest Canada ETF industry landscape report. The Canadian ETF market consisted of 1,609 ETFs with 2,015 listings from 53 providers  The industry gathered net inflows of US$12.3 billion during May, bringing year-to-date net inflows to a record US$77.86 billion.
