The market maker has appointed the former Barclays executive as head of exotics business development as it continues to build its trading and risk management capabilities in structured products.

Optiver has appointed Arnaud Heckenroth as head of exotics business development, reinforcing the firm's ambitions to expand its global exotics franchise amid growing demand for sophisticated derivatives and structured products solutions. Based in London, Heckenroth (pictured) joins from Barclays, where he spent more than 13 years, most recently as managing director and global head of equity exotics and hybrids structuring. He will report to Aldo Van Audenaerde , head of index and rates options
