July inflows lifted assets in Japan’s exchange-traded fund (ETF) market to US$843.42 billion, although the total still fell short of the record set in May.

Research and consultancy firm ETFGI reported that Japan's ETF industry recorded net inflows of US$3.39 billion in July, taking year-to-date net inflows to US$2.65 billion. The firm said July marked the first month of net inflows this year, with the year-to-date total ranking as the ninth-highest on record.
