The actively managed exchange-traded fund (ETF) sector accumulated US$663.6 billion in inflows during the first eight months of 2026, helping lift industry assets to an all-time high of US$2.72 trillion.
Research and consulting firm ETFGI reported that assets invested in actively managed ETFs worldwide reached a record US$2.72 trillion at the end of August, surpassing the previous high of US$2.59 trillion recorded a month earlier. Assets in the sector have risen 42.6% since the end of 2025, when they stood at US$1.91 trillion. The report attributed the increase to sustained investor demand and continued inflows into actively managed exchange-traded funds, according to ETFGI's August 2026
