The country’s retail structured deposits market recorded a downward trend in August, with sales and issuance decreasing four percent each compared with previous year.  

An estimated CNY162.2 billion (US$24.1 billion) was collected from 945 retail structured deposits offered on the Chinese primary market in August, according to SRP data. Sales volumes decreased by just one percent compared with July when CNY164.7 billion was collected from 996 products .
