Capital guaranteed funds were the most popular type of mutual fund in Singapore last year, according to the island’s Monetary Authority. MAS figures show assets under management for guaranteed funds rising 41% to S$7.635 billion, (£2.4bn), with an average tranche size equivalentto around £20m and product issues growing to 119 funds from 82 in 2002.
