Friends Provident International has made its promised re-entry into the structured products market with a simple FTSE100-linked product offering. The Capital Plus account is a six-year product wrapped in an offshore whole of life policy, which offers 100% participation in the FTSE with a three year knockout at 30% growth in the index.
Assets are provided by JP Morgan Chase.
The product provider is offering a free switch at maturity into another fund within the FPI Isle of Man mirror fund range, enabling deferral of tax liabilities.

Spokeswoman Sarah Dillon said the offering had been deliberately kept simple, and that if sales are positive it will be the first in a series of structured products. While future offerings may continue the same theme, Dillon said the review period after this product closes will also be an opportunity to discuss how the product line should develop.
Capital Plus opens 1 October and closes 30 November. IFA commission is 4.25%.
