Barclays entered the Italian listed certificate market yesterday when it launched its Bmarkets listed products platform for Italian investors.
The UK bank's initial offering includes three long and three short leveraged certificates with stop loss linked to the domestic FTSE MIB with five-year maximum terms. The new Mini Future Certificates have traded since 18 May on the SeDex segment of the Italian Bourse.
"The special feature of the leveraged instruments is that investors can benefit from the performance of the underlying without losing more than they invested, unlike normal futures contracts or other leveraged products," said Fabrizio Boaron, head of the investor solutions team for Barclays Capital.
All Italian turbos are available in the Leverage section of the Italian database.
