HSBC has hired Geoffrey Pidgeon to head its wholesale wealth management business in Australia. Pidgeon will oversee the distribution of structured products and managed funds in the financial planner market. Pidgeon, who was previously head of retail sales for Macquarie's funds business, will report to Charles Genocchio, head of global investments at HSBC Bank Australia.
