Commerzbank has expanded its range of speeder products in the Netherlands with the launch of six new stability speeders. The AEX-linked products offer a fixed return of €10 if during the term (five to ten weeks) two predetermined stop-loss barriers have not been hit. Otherwise, the product expires worthless.

"The stability speeders are the first in a range of new products we'll be introducing to investors in the Netherlands," said Neelie Verlinden of Commerzbank's Benelux desk in Paris. "For the moment, we are focusing on the AEX, but in the future we'll also be looking at other underlyings," she said.

There will be a marketing campaign to support the launch of the stability speeders, after which Commerzbank will review how often new products are going to be issued. "That depends on how successful the products are and of course also on the volatility of the underlying," Verlinden told SRP.

As the return is fixed at €10, the strike level of the stability speeders - which due to their listing at Euronext are also available to investors in Belgium - will determine the maximum result.

These products constitute the first to appear in the flow products sections of the Dutch and Belgian databases.
