Australian bank Westpac has launched its latest structured investment, offering Australian investors exposure to the S&P/ASX200.

Westpac Maximiser is a five-year deferred purchase agreement offering investors a choice of two investment strategies. Strategy A has 100% capital protection and 85-100% participation (indicative) in the rise of the underlying index. Strategy B offers 75% of initial capital and 175-200% participation in the rise of the index, capped at a maximum of 100% growth.

Westpac is an infrequent issuer of structured products, its last issue being Westpac Guaranteed Portfolio Service 2 in October 2007.

The product is open until 4 June with a minimum investment of A$10,000 ($9,200) per option.
