The former managing director of Luxembourg Financial Group, Johan Groothaert, has been appointed global head of investment products and platforms within UBS's global equities division. Groothaert joined the Swiss bank at the end of the summer following the integration of LFG into UBS's operation. The bank announced the acquisition of the structured products boutique for a total of €25m back in April in a move to strengthen UBS's multi-asset class product range.
