Although investors in the Nordics are among the most sophisticated in Europe, the mainstream structured products space is not occupied, according to panellists during ‘The future of exchange-traded products’ discussion at the SRP Nordics 2019 conference on September 26 in Stockholm.

Traditionally, retail clients in the Nordics have a long history of investing in single shares and mutual funds, said Roni Gani (pictured) , lead account manager, Nordic fixed income, Nasdaq. “Nordic clients are quite sophisticated and have a good knowledge of investment products,” said Gani, adding that the industry should not be satisfied “because there is always a gap that needs to be filled and of course we could increase that knowledge even further”.
