October ended up being a good month for the Canadian structured products; 398 products struck during the month, up 70 from September. The monthly average for the past 12 months is 324 products.

The fact that October is outperforming September did not come as a complete surprise, due to Desjardins being an active issuer this month (their products strike every even month). However, the average for every even month for the past 12 months is 343, much lower than the figure for October.
