The US bank has promoted its head of Americas to a global role as it cuts a number of technology managing directors and executive directors.

Nikki Tippins, formerly managing director, head of Americas equity derivatives distribution, at Morgan Stanley, in New York, has been promoted to global head of structured equity derivatives distribution, also in New York. Tippins joined Morgan Stanley in 2009 from JP Morgan, where she spent 14 years, in New York and London, as a managing director in structured products and a vice president in the equity derivatives group.
