Three hundred and six products worth C$820m (US$619m) had strike dates in Canada in January.

The average monthly issuance for the past 12 months was 337. January was marked by the absence of Desjardins as their products strike every even month of the year which somewhat explains the below average issuance. However, even when taking the average of every odd month January is still underperforming by around 15 products. Seventy-five products matured this month releasing C$389m back onto the market. The total number of growth products stood at 138; income products registered at 159. E
