The New Year began with a strong increase in the number of structured products offered on the Thai market.

In January alone, there were 586 products valued at more than THB2.3 billion (US$70m), a  30% increase in sales volume in the span of just one month. Compared to the same quarter last year, the 130% jump in issuance was even more spectacular. However, the optimism with which the new decade began was short lived and the first quarter ended with a massive contraction.
