Citi has reorganised its equities and securities services (ESS) business under a new structure led by a global head of equities and a global head of securities services. This would ‘allow for greater focus and accountability,’ according to a memo seen by SRP.

Under the new set up ,   the bank’s equities business will comprise equity cash, equity derivatives, prime finance/delta one and the multi asset group (MAS).   As part of the management changes,   Fater   Belbachir   (pictured)   will be joining the US bank in August to lead this business.   Belbachir   joins from Barclays   where he had a one-year stint as global head of equities and cross asset structuring.
