US provider of actively managed exchange-traded funds (ETFs) AdvisorShares has launched the country’s first listed ETF linked to Cannabis.
The new fund will deliver exposure solely to American cannabis firms including multi-state operators (MSOs). AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF (MSOS) is the company’s second investment offering, accompanying the AdvisorShares Pure Cannabis ETF (YOLO) which launched in April 2019. The US cannabis market is the largest by far The fund portfolio manager, Dan Ahrens (pictured) says that the introduction of a second product was driven largely by increased demand for cannabis investments.
