As 2020 comes to an end, we look at the top five issuers in the Asia Pacific region in terms of issuance and sales, as well as the types of products and the exposure they offered to their clients.

The year 2020 has seen the most sustained downward issuance of structured products over the past three years in Asia Pacific. At 82,478 products, this year’s launches were down 9.7% compared to 2019. Société Générale, Credit Suisse, UBS and HSBC remain at the top of the table league while Goldman Sachs overtook Thailand’s Phatra Securities as the fifth largest issuer by issuance in the region.
