Some 511 structured products worth C$1.54b (US$1.2b) had strike dates in February – the highest issuance for the past 12 months.

One hundred and two products matured during the month releasing C$1.17 billion back onto the market. Total issuance of principal-at-risk notes (PRNs) for February was 413, compared to 285 in the same month last year. The ratio between issuance of capital-at-risk and capital-protected products remained 4:1 as it was in January. However, the CR to CP ratio was expected to be lower due to February being an active month for Desjardins, which issues only principal-protected products. Excludes:
