‘Poor practice’ on KID disclosures fails retail investors, EU regulators

If last week the European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, Eiopa and Esma – ESAs) announced  significant changes to the Priips Regulation based on the need for a KID with a ‘much simpler and more user-friendly format’, this week the regulators issued yesterday a joint supervisory statement regarding the ‘What is this product?’ section of the key information document (KID) for packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (Priips). The ESAs have identifi
