Miami Beach police and firefighter retirement groups have filed a class action in the US over a US$17.6 billion structured notes sale.

Barclays was sued on Friday (23 September) in a proposed US class action in which the UK bank’s shareholders claim they were defrauded in connection with the sale of US$17.6 billion more structured notes than regulators had allowed.
