A source at CM-CIC Asset Management in France has confirmed that the asset manager for the CIC and Crédit Mutuel banking networks will not launch any more structured products before spring. “We’re having a little break in issuance and there won’t be any offers until April,” said the source.
Before the new year CM-CIC Asset Management sold over €107m via CIC’s banking network; Optimum Monde Novembre 2010 and Optimum Décembre 2013 sold €67.53m and €40.3m, respectively.
Also before the end of the year Crédit Mutuel launched Action Plus 2011, Potentiel Monde Novembre 2011 and Potentiel Horizon 2013.
The source said there will be a complete review of products including a look at structures and underlyings; CIC currently uses the FTSEurofirst80 to represent Europe in its index baskets whilst Crédit Mutuel uses the DJEurostoxx50.
