HSBC deploys new FTSE UK ESG gauge

HSBC has selected the FTSE UK 100 ESG Select Index as the underlying benchmark for a series of new environmental, social and governance (ESG)-related structured products . The new market-cap weighted index leverages FTSE Russell’s ESG ratings and data model, and tracks the performance of the top 100 UK-listed companies with strong ESG practices. “Many clients who invest in the UK benchmarks are keen to transition into sustainable alternatives but lack a suitable UK-focused ESG bench
