Some 1,440 primary market products worth an estimated HKD201.6 billion ($26 billion) were added to the SRP Hong Kong SAR database in the second quarter of the year, up from the previous quarter when 1,279 products with sales of approximately HKD179.4 billion were available.

A total of 1,465 products with combined sales of HKD205 billion had strike dates during the quarter – a 13% increase in terms of issuance compared to the period from January to March. All but 29 structured products added to the SRP database in Q2 were denominated in Hong Kong dollars.
