The Japanese bank has embarked on a hiring spree as it seeks to bolster its private banking capabilities in Asia.

Nomura has appointed Akshay Prasad (pictured) as managing director within its Asian private banking team in Singapore to expand the bank’s wealth management activities in the region. Nomura’s wealth management business in Asia ex-Japan was aligned under the firm’s wholesale division in April.
