There were 105 structured products that collected a combined JPY285 billion (US$2.7 billion) added to the SRP Japan database in November (including flow products, but excluding private placements and leverage products).
Year-to-date, both issuance and sales volumes have fallen by 8.8% and 36.8%, respectively. Products striking were 88 with JPY169 billion in sales volumes. This is a drop from October when there was 18% more in issuance and 28.4% up in volumes. Capital for reinvestment was JPY334 billion from some 127 products that matured during November.
