2021 was a record year for products with crypto currencies as underlyings on SIX Swiss Exchange. Trading turnover reached CHF8.6 billion (US$8.7 billion) – a 6.7-fold increase compared with the previous year (2020: CHF1.1 billion). The number of transactions kept a similar trend: in total, 354,542 trades were carried out in these crypto products, an increase of 634% over 2020 (48,300).
