Some 7,536 structured products worth HKD160 billion ($21 billion) were released on the Hong Kong SAR primary market during the third quarter of 2023.

Additionally, 4,318 leverage products were added on the secondary market. Of these, 3,201 were callable bull bear certificates (CBBC) and 1,117 were warrants – a decrease of five percent by issuance compared to the previous quarter (Q2 2023: 4,548). Some 7,545 structured notes (HKD170 billion) had strike dates – down approximately three percent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).
